Republican YouTube Debate

Warning: what follows is a Huckabee love fest.

Giuliani and Romney went at it on immigration at the beginning, and the sparks were flying. I thought Romney won the exchange by a nose. Thompson weighed in next, but that is a bad turn-of-phrase for a lightweight, and his answer was so weak it got laughed at. (Later on Thompson said he would "cut tax cuts"--typical.) Huckabee did not do such a bad job with his first part of the question on immigration. Romney then called Huckabee a Massachusetts liberal. Huckabee then made a powerful response to Romney. It was basically a liberal response, but a powerful response. Romney responded, but Huckabee clearly won the exchange. And he did it with basically a liberal position. You have to think he would make a dangerous (albeit underfunded) opponent to Hillary in the general. Huckabee got a lot of cheers, too, and was unflappable when Cooper told him his time was up. Huckabee's sincerity contrasts with Romney.
