Romney had to beat back a strong challenge from Sam Brownback on his pro-life credentials. It was clear he was weak here, in explaining his change of heart, but he came across as sincere.
Then, right afterwards, when asked about Giuliani, Romney said he'd rather let him speak for his positions than for him to speak about them. I thought it hit the right note in the context of his previous back and forth with Brownback.
About a third of the way into the debate, Romney talked about health care and had a joking exchange with George Stephanopoulos (he demanded more time, saying "the green light is still on!")
