Mike Huckabee Friday at the Midwest Republican Leadership Conference in Indianapolis is a whole 'nother story from Thompson's shakiness. Polar opposite in fact. His talk was able to combine down-to-earth-ness with a smooth, likeable presentation laced with humor.
The Huckster got 18% at the straw poll for a reason. I wonder if this is not the last we'll be hearing from him. And likewise I wonder if Thompson will even beat Bob Kerrey's record--rather than peaking the day he announces, having peaked even before he announces.
