2008 Presidential Election Blog

Surely it's just my imagination, but the country seems bored by the presidential election of '08, which already seems old in '07. It's hard to work up an interest in the candidates, or -- and this is really a sad sign of civic apathy -- work up much antipathy toward any of them, either. Even the usual Hilary-bashers just seem to be going through the motions.
Long rows of candidates appear at forums, where they meld into one indistinguishable blob. instead of judging the contenders by how they stand on the issues, or rather slouch, the group as a whole could be divided into three categories: dull, duller, and dullest.

Check out the full column here . I wonder if he's right. He's at least struck a chord within me. It's hard not to feel like "just the usual suspects" in '08.
